The Fishing Tourney is an event hosted by Chip in the event plaza. The objective is to catch the biggest fish. For some Fishing Tourneys, Chip asks for a specific type of fish. For others, Chip will accept any type of fish. You can get a trophy, as well as rare the Fish Set.
To enter the Fishing Tourney, just talk to Chip in plaza. He will tell you which type of fish you need to catch, or if any type of fish is OK. After that, just catch fish, then talk to Chip to give the fish to him.
How Big is the Fish?

When you catch a fish, the game shows you its size. After that, the only way to find the size of a fish in your inventory is to give it to Chip. Therefore, you might want to your fish in a room, arranged by size, so you can give them to Chip in the order of smallest to largest so you get as many items as possible.

Fishing Tourney Edit
Every Fishing Tourney starts at 9AM and ends at 6PM the same day. Between 6PM and 9PM, you can go into the tent on the event plaza for the award ceremony. If you miss the award ceremony but you won a trophy, you will get it in the mail the next day. The winners are displayed on your town bulletin board next to the train station.
